What nicotine strength and e-liquid type do I require for MTL?

If you have smoked for a long time, you may be used to the harsh throat hit of traditional cigarettes. A strong nicotine liquid is going to bring out that same sensation. If you are new to vaping or not a heavy smoker, a lower strength will be more than enough.

Before choosing an e-liquid, it’s important to consider how much you smoke and the resistance of your coil or pod. If you’re new to vaping, try starting on a high nicotine strength (18mg/ml or 20mg/ml) and then move down to a lower one if this is too strong.

Nicotine strengths can vary from 0mg/ml (0%) all the way up to 50mg/ml (5%), but the most common strengths available are 3mg/ml (0.3%) and 6mg/ml (0.6%). Nicotine levels above 12mg/ml are considered too strong for most people, and we recommend starting on a lower strength if you're unsure of which to choose.

The perfect combination depends on how much nicotine you require to maintain your satisfaction throughout the day, which depends on how much you smoked before you quit.

What kind of kit do I need for MTL?

Mouth to Lung devices are generally lower in power, but you can use some exceptions at higher wattages. Most MTL tanks work best at less than 20 watts, although some can go up to 25 watts maximum.

Firstly, you’ll need an MTL tank with a mouthpiece sized appropriately for mouth-to-lung vaping. You’ll also want to make sure you have the right coil installed. Unfortunately, not all coils are designed for MTL vaping – many are made for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping only. You'll need a higher resistance coil for MTL vaping – we recommend using 1.6 ohms or higher. These will provide the best flavour from your e-liquid.

The airflow is the main thing you need to know about choosing an MTL tank. Inhaling through the mouth creates less airflow than inhaling through the nose, so you’ll want a tighter draw than you would have with DTL.

How to enjoy a proper mouth-to-lung inhale

Mouth-to-lung inhaling is the traditional way of inhaling, and most people that switch from smoking to vaping will find it the most similar.

Mouth to lung inhaling is when you first draw vapour into your mouth before inhaling into your lungs. It usually creates a tighter draw, warmer vapour and less vapour than direct lung inhales.

Step-By-Step Guide:

• Fill up your tank, but make sure you leave room at the top of the tank to avoid getting any liquid in your mouth when you take a draw.
• Screw the cartomizer onto your battery and leave it for 2-3 minutes to allow the wick to saturate.
• Start off by giving your e-cig a few small draws without activating the battery. This will help warm up the coil and saturate the wick even more with e-liquid.
• With your tongue, push all the air out of your mouth, so it’s empty.
• Take your vape and bring it up to your lips, so they wrap around the drip tip (the part you put in your mouth).
• Inhale slowly through your mouth so that the vapour goes into it.
• Hold it there for a few seconds once you have enough vapour in your mouth. This gives the vapour a chance to cool off before reaching the lungs, which makes for a smoother vape.
• From here, you can either exhale through your nose or through your mouth, depending on what feels more natural for you.

What to look for in a mouth-to-lung device

When looking for the right MTL device, it is important to consider several factors. One of the most important is how the device hits. It should be a smooth draw that produces large amounts of flavour and clouds. It should not taste burnt or harsh. The airflow should also be easy to adjust and have enough options.

Another factor to consider when looking for the right MTL device is battery life. If it does not last long, then one will constantly have to charge it again and again. This can become very inconvenient for someone who uses their vape a lot throughout the day or even at night while sleeping.

The shape of your mouthpiece should also be comfortable for you. If it is not, you may feel uncomfortable in your mouth after using it for an extended period. This can lead to headaches and other types of pain that are not good for anyone’s health!

The size of your tank matters because this helps determine what type of e-liquid you should use with your new MTL device.
