Filling
Filling the replacement coil for the Boost Plus is much easier. The larger and flatter surface of the pod and around the fill port means you have more room to get the bottle tip in there. The fill port has a larger diameter which prevents backpressure. The replacement pods feature the revised design that makes filling easier and mess-free.
All you have to do is open the plug to reveal the port and start refilling. Flip back the plug and press it slightly for an airtight fit. The fill port is at the top of the device, so you don't have to worry about leaks after refilling.
How to Fill the GeekVape Aegis Boost Plus Replacement Pod
- Remove the rubber plug to reveal the filling port.
- Add your favourite e-liquid to the pod through the fill port
- Wait for at least 5 minutes for the coil to fully saturate
- Flip back the rubber plug.
The Coils
The pod comes with 2 coils included. One is a 0.4-ohm coil that is rated between 25-33W designed for DTL vaping.
The performance of the 0.4-ohm coils is incredible. It delivers a smooth vape with the airflow wide open. With the airflow closed, it has a restricted DTL experience, which most vapers also say helps increase flavour quality.
At only 33W, the flavour production of the coil is magnificent. The performance really shines with vape liquids that have higher flavour notes. All matters considered, the performance of the coils is way above its class.
The other coil is a 0.6-ohm coil rated between 15-25W designed for MTL vaping. The performance of the 0.6-ohm coils is similar to the 0.4-ohm, particularly with the settings on the higher end.
The coils are push to fit, eliminating the stress and frustration of installing the coil properly. The coils sit at the bottom of the pod. Once installed, the coils fit snuggly. They are not difficult to remove, which means you can switch the coils back and forth depending on your vaping preference.
How to Replace the Aegis Boost Plus Replacement Pod Coils
- Remove the pod from the mod
- Empty the pod of the vape liquid
- Remove the old coil. You can use your fingernail or use a coil-removal tool.
- Add a few drops of e-liquid to the new coil
- Insert the new coil into the pod
- Put the pod back on the mod, and it's ready to vape.
Airflow
The pod comes with a nifty and clever adjustable airflow that is tuned using a sizeable circular dial on the side of the pod. The airflow can adjust from a tight mouth to lung draw to an almost open, but slightly restricted direct to long draw for vapers that prefer an airier draw.
Once all the aspects of the new pod are in place, you can attach the pod to the mod. The pod clips on top of the device using a little button. The same one you press to release the pod. The clip ensures a more secure fit compared to magnets.
