The Smok Mag V8 kit comes with the TFV Mini V2 Tank. This device utilises the Smok mini v2 coil series and is powered by a single 18650, 20100 or 21700 battery (sold separately) and can output a maximum of 70w.

How to use and maintain the SMOK MAG V8

The SMOK MAG features common control buttons as in many other vape kits. The device employs the same menu system with an almost similar interface. Five presses lock or unlock the device, while three clicks direct you to the menu and hold the fire button to confirm your selection. The up and down adjustment buttons are useful when navigating through the menu.

How to refill the tank

Locate a rectangular button with curved edges on the top of the tank. Press the button to open the fill port. You can then pour in your e-liquid while checking the level of the glass tank.

Once it is at the maximum level, swing the top cap and close it. Ensure you hear a gentle click sound confirming that the lid is safely secured.

How to install and remove the battery

The manufacturer discourages charging removable batteries in the device, so you may need to have an external charger.

So to remove or install your battery:

Locate a silver button on the side of your device and press it down. The “magazine” section on the bottom of your grip will pop out. However, you want to catch it as it pops out, so it doesn’t crash on the floor.

When installing your battery, ensure the polarities are lined correctly with the markings on the mag. Then, replace the mag to its original position and gently push it in until you hear a “click” sound assuring you that it is in place.

How to change the coil head

Detach the tank from the device. Turn the tank upside down, with the mouthpiece facing the surface and place it on a clean tissue. You should then unscrew the tank base and remove the already installed coil.

Screw in a new coil and reassemble the tank. However, you shouldn’t start the vape right away; allow it to rest for 10-15 minutes for the new coil to absorb the e-liquid.
