The Voopoo Drag X Pro pod kit is both easy to use and powerful, providing an option for those that want a simple DTL (Direct To Lung) vape. With a single 21700 or 18650 battery (sold separately) to power it, the Drag X Pro is able to reach up to 100W. As well as the device itself, this kit includes a Voopoo TPP X 2ml pod and two Voopoo TPP coils. No matter whether you’ve chosen the 0.15 Ohm or 0.2 Ohm coil, you’ll experience a DTL (Direct To Lung) vape.
The Drag X Pro features three different user modes. You’ll first notice RBA mode, which allows you to find a power level from 5 - 100W that produces the right amount of vapour for you. There’s also Smart mode for if you prefer your kit to do the work and figure out the ideal wattage for your coil. There’s also Temperature Control mode, in which you can choose the temperature your coil reaches, meaning there’s less chance of it burning out. Using either of the included coils in any mode will produce a greater amount of vapour.

First Impressions
The Drag X was easy on the eyes, and Voopoo played it safe with the Drag X Pro by keeping the signature style of the Voopoo Drag X.
The matte-finished metal shell is wrapped in an iconic cushioned leather-like material giving the device a premium look that is comfortable to hold. The crisp colour screen that was a major hit on the Drag X to display important vaping information is also retained.
The device seems weighty because of its classic sub-ohm tank appearance, but you realize it's lightweight once in your hands. It has an impressively lightweight TPP X pod featuring an easy-to-use top-fill system that works with TPP coils.
MTL vapers can also try out the PnP pod also works well with this device and is worth a try. However, you must purchase this separately as it doesn’t come with the device.
Design and Build Quality
The Drag X Pro stands tall, literally and figuratively. Although it’s a single battery mod, it’s noticeably taller than a majority of its competitors. It has killer looks and sits comfortably in your hand. The leather pad extends nearly the full length of the device, which makes the extra height all the more valuable for a comfortable grip and easy use.
On the exterior, the leather pad is the most prominent feature of the Drag X Pro. It gives the device a nice, smooth and semi-firm grip when you squeeze it in your hands.
The Leather is embossed with “DRAG X PRO” in large letters. The leather pad can come in multiple finishes. You can choose the one that suits your preference.
Besides the leather pad, the rest of the device is made from zinc alloy. It gives the device a weighty and sturdy feel that inspires confidence in the vaper. It feels solid in the hand, and the satin frame is alluring and feels just as good.
You can use the Voopoo Drag X Pro with a 18650 or a 21700 battery. It comes with an adapter for the 18650 battery, so it’s easier to use. Both batteries sit snugly in the chamber with no battery rattle. The battery door comes with a lock and physical switch, making it quicker and easier to lock or unlock.
There's also a full-colour TFT screen. It's bright, high resolution and easy to read. The display is similar on other Voopoo devices as well.
At the top is a ribbed airflow control for easy adjustments. The airflow control also makes your dream of MTL vaping a reality.
Overall, the mod has a nice design with the impressive build quality. There's no doubt Voopoo put a lot of effort into the device's design.
Performance
As expected, the Pro version of the Drag X comes with many bells and whistles performance-wise. It has a larger output wattage that goes up to 100W compared to 80W on the Drag X. The device also offers other features like an automatic draw that allows vapers to control their vapour manually or activate the coils automatically.
For vapers still learning the ropes, the Drag X Pro has a default ‘SMART’ mode, automatically setting the wattage to the recommended power for the chosen coil. It allows you to increase this wattage to the maximum rating for the coil. Using this feature, new vapers can avoid the dreaded dry hits or burning out their coil prematurely.
Another nifty addition to the Drag X Pro is the physical switch. You can use it as a locking switch for all the buttons preventing accidental operation, and you can set it as an On/Off button for the device. Both options are incredibly handy in the safe operation of the device.
Ease of Use
The Drag X Pro has the improved TPP X pod that improves on various features, like the innovative top-fill mechanism. To open the fill port, push the button towards the top of the tank. While pressing down, rotate the top of the pod clockwise to reveal the rubber bung covering the e-liquid inlet. Remove the bung and top up with e-liquid. Remember not to overfill the tank. Turn the top of the pod back into position, and you're good to go.
TPP X Pod Tank
Besides the aesthetic appeal of the Drag X Pro, the TPP X Pod is the other main attraction of the mod. It has a large 5.5ml capacity with a removable, black 810 drip tip. The tank is also tint-free. It's clear and easy to read the level of the remaining vape juice, and it sits entirely above the battery compartment, so the vape juice level is completely unobstructed.
The TPP X Pod tank is compatible with all of Voopoo’s TPP coils. The kit comes with two coils; the TPP-DM3 0.15ohm coil and the TPP-DM2 0.20ohm coil. Both are DL coils, but you can find higher-resistance MTL coils too.
