Voopoo Drag X Vape Kit

The VOOPOO DRAG X pod is packed with a host of features and settings. Able to output up to 80W of power with a single 18650 battery, the DRAG X can handle cloud chasing with ease, whilst still remaining accessible to newer vapers.

The DRAG X uses the GENE.TT chip, which can activate coils in 0.001s in addition to managing the large colour screen. A stunningly designed body has a soft leather grip located on the back, providing a luxurious degree of comfort. A USB-C charging port is also present, allowing for more efficient fast recharging to keep you vaping longer.

The DRAG X pod tank is designed to be easy to use, whilst retaining features found on regular tanks. A fully adjustable airflow can be fine-tuned using the steel slider ‘nib’ to suit personal preference, plus the push-fit PnP coils make replacements quick and easy. Multiple resistance options are available, with 0.6ohm mesh and 0.15ohm mesh coils.

Voopoo Drag X Design and Build Quality

The Drag X comes in 7 seven different styles. There is a retro, carbon fibre, classic, chestnut, galaxy blue and mashup. You have plenty of options to pick something you fancy.

Like the Drag S, the Drag X has a leather section which makes the device look elegant and adds a unique perspective to it.

The design of the frame is similar to other devices in the Drag series like the Drag 2. Other similar design aspects include the rounded, metal accented buttons. The design lines are modern and clean, giving the device a sophisticated and elegant look.

The Drag X features a sleek zinc alloy frame with gorgeous back panels. The panels add a git of cushion to the device that gives it a nice quality appearance and a comfortable feel in your hands. The panel is stitched around the contour making the device look even more sophisticated. The embossed “DRAG” emblem is the perfect finish on the device.

The Drag X is a little taller than its brother, the Drag S. other than the height, the other dimensions of the device are exactly the same. The Drag X is slightly heavier.

The device has a full-colour screen display. The screen is bright and easy to read, even in the outdoors. The text is clear and crisp.

The firing and adjustment buttons are rounded and just below the screen. They are firm and have a sturdy and clicky feel.

Features and Functions

The Drag X uses the new GENE.TT chipset. It is a far more advanced version of the GENE.AI chipset, which is found on other Vinci devices.

The screen on the devices has a more attractive UI, is better organised and displays all the information you need to make the most out of your vaping session. Some of the data displayed on the screen include wattage, coil, resistance, voltage, mode and a puff counter.

A notable addition is the ‘Score’ which is displayed in big numbers in the middle of the screen every time you take a draw. There's also a ranking at the bottom of your screen. The lowest rank is IRON, and the highest is KING.

The Drag X can fire at up to 80W. You can only fire the device using the firing button. The device will detect the coil as soon as you insert it. The device will automatically set the power to the recommended wattage for the coil inserted.

The Pod

The pod on the Drag X looks more like a tank than a pod. It is dome-shaped and ends at a large round mouthpiece. Voopoo has a 510 adapter for this pod which opens up even more opportunities to how you can use the pod and make it more versatile.

The pod is lightly tinted, allowing enough light through so you can see your ejuice level. The pod attaches to the mod using strong magnets. There’s no wiggle in the pod. The 4.5ml capacity is quite commendable, but given the high wattage of the devices, it is also necessary because you will go through the juice faster.
